Directions

  • 1. Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker or Crockpot.

    2. Add the chicken stock.

    3. In a small bowl, stir together the remaining spices and ingredients. Sprinkle half of it over the chicken breast. Rotate the chicken then sprinkle with the remaining seasoning blend.

    4. Cover and slow cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours until the center reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove the lid and let cool slightly.

    5. Transfer the chicken to another large dish or bowl, reserving any remaining liquid. Use two forks or a meat shredder to shred the chicken into small pieces.

    6. Stir the shredded chicken back into the reserved liquid and serve as desired. Some serving suggestions are sandwiches, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, soups, salads, or casseroles.

COOK CHICKEN TO A SAFE INTERNAL TEMPERATURE OF AT LEAST 165°F. ALWAYS use a meat thermometer to determine the temperature. Do not rely solely on suggested cooking times. Cooking appliances vary in temperature and cooking times are a GUIDE ONLY. See our Internal Temperature Guide for more information.
