History

Foster Farms has been a family–owned and operated company for four generations. Since our founding days back in 1939, we have always been committed to providing consumers with the highest–quality, best–tasting poultry products available. Travel with us through our history and learn how what started as a small farm back in Modesto, California, grew into the West’s most trusted poultry company.

More Northern Exposure

Our commitment to providing the Pacific Northwest with the highest-quality poultry products led Foster Farms to purchase Lynden Farms in 1994 and Pederson Farms in 1997. Then, in 1998, we built the first new Foster Farms plant outside of California in Kelso, Washington. Today, the Kelso processing plant, in conjunction with the Creswell, Oregon, facility, provide fresh, natural poultry with no added hormones, steroids or enhancers to consumers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
